Accident on the Condet Mining Line, PT BDH Ensure Victims Receive Compensation and Medical Care

JAKARTA - The accident incident at the former project excavation on Jalan Raya Condet, East Jakarta, specifically in front of Rindam Jaya on Tuesday (24/3/2026) which was viral on social media, received a response from the contractor.

PT Buana Djaya Harapan (PT BDH) ensures that it has been responsible to the victim named Nurul Fadilah who was involved in an accident after falling at the former excavation point which experienced a decline (amblas), as well as accelerating permanent repairs at the location.

Chronology of the incident

The accident case began when the victim riding a motorcycle F 5822 FDW tried to overtake another vehicle from the left side of the road. The attempt was unsuccessful until Nurul Fadilah lost control and fell into the road, right in the area of the former quarry.

As a result of the incident, the victim suffered a wound on the temple and lost his front teeth. The victim was then immediately evacuated using the Rindam Jaya ambulance to Pasar Rebo Hospital for medical treatment.

Responding to the incident, PT Buana Djaya Harapan Project Manager, Agung, expressed his concern. He emphasized that the company immediately moved quickly to take responsibility for the victim.

"From PT BDH, we conveyed our concern about this incident. We have met with the victim's family and are fully responsible during the healing process, including providing compensation and helping with medical expenses and vehicle repairs," Agung told reporters, Tuesday (31/3/2026).

He also explained that before the Lebaran holiday period, namely on March 17-26, 2026, his party had closed all former mines with casting and some had been paved. However, at one point there was a decrease in the structure that triggered the accident.

Permanent Improvement Steps

As a follow-up step, PT BDH immediately carried out repairs at the location since the day of the incident. The process has continued intensively to this day with a permanent repair standard.

"The improvements are carried out by recompacting, casting using iron reinforcement, and paving to make it stronger and safer for road users," explained Agung.

Meanwhile, the Project Manager of PT Air Bersih Jakarta, Topan Suwendi, has also directly visited the location. He ensured that the repair process was carried out according to the technical standards set.

"We are concerned about this incident and ensure that repairs are made permanently according to standards so that similar incidents do not recur," said Topan.

Current Condition of the Victim

Currently, the victim's condition is reported to have improved and in the near future will be allowed to return home from Pasar Rebo Hospital. Furthermore, the victim will undergo recovery through further treatment.

On the other hand, PAM Jaya has also provided clarification through its official social media channel to straighten out the information circulating in the public. PT BDH emphasized its commitment to continue to improve supervision and the quality of work in the field in order to maintain the safety of the community and road users.
