Government ensures that subsidized and non-subsidized fuel prices do not rise
Jakarta - The Minister of State Secretary (Mensesneg) Prasetyo Hadi emphasized that there is currently no increase in the price of Fuel Oil (BBM), whether subsidized or non-subsidized.
This was conveyed by Prasetyo Hadi on Tuesday, March 31 following the issue that was heard loudly that the price of fuel would adjust to the soaring world oil prices.
Prasetyo said the government had coordinated with the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources and Pertamina before confirming the stance. The decision, said the Minister of Home Affairs, was also taken at the direction of President Prabowo Subianto.
According to Prasetyo, President Prabowo asked that every decision still put the interests of the people as the main consideration. The issue of fuel price increases was rife after a list of fuel price increases circulated on social media (Sosmed).
Moreover, energy prices always have a direct impact on transportation costs, commodity prices, and people's purchasing power.
Prasetyo also guarantees that the supply of fuel will remain safe. He asked the public not to be restless and not to be provoked by news that is not clear.
