Welcomed at the Akasaka Palace, Prabowo Meets Japanese PM Takaichi
JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto met with Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi during a series of official visits at the Akasaka Palace, Tokyo, Japan.
As reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, March 31, the meeting began with a formal welcoming ceremony that took place solemnly and with full honor, reflecting the close diplomatic relations between Indonesia and Japan.
Upon arrival at Akasaka Palace, President Prabowo was greeted by PM Takaichi. The two leaders then had a photo session together before heading to the Hagoromo-no-ma room, the main location for the official welcoming ceremony.
In the Hagoromo-no-ma room, all official delegations from both countries lined up to welcome the arrival of the two leaders. PM Takaichi then directed President Prabowo to the honor podium that had been prepared.
The ceremony continued with the playing of the national anthems of the two countries in turn and was followed by a tribute from the honor guard. This moment is a symbol of high respect and strengthening friendship between the two countries.
Furthermore, President Prabowo and Prime Minister Takaichi inspected the honor guard. After that, the two leaders paid homage to the flags of their respective countries as a form of mutual respect for sovereignty and friendship between nations.
After the welcoming ceremony, President Prabowo and Prime Minister Takaichi introduced the delegations of their respective countries. Subsequently, the leaders and delegations of the two countries moved to the Asahi-no-ma room to hold a bilateral meeting.
During the meeting, Prime Minister Takaichi delivered a speech to President Prabowo and the Indonesian delegation.
"Mr. President Prabowo Subianto and all delegates from the Republic of Indonesia, welcome to Japan. I am very happy to meet again with Your Majesty," said Prime Minister Takaichi.
President Prabowo also expressed his appreciation for the welcome given, as well as expressing his experience meeting with the Emperor of Japan.
"I would like to express my deepest gratitude for the warm welcome from His Majesty, from the Government of Japan. Also I was received very well by His Majesty Emperor Naruhito yesterday," said President Prabowo.
As a conclusion to the series of activities, the two leaders are scheduled to deliver a joint press statement in the Sairan-no-ma room, before attending an official lunch.
All of these activities reflect the strong commitment of both countries in strengthening bilateral relations that are mutually beneficial and sustainable.
In the bilateral meeting, President Prabowo was accompanied by a number of Red and White Cabinet Ministers, namely Foreign Minister Airlangga Hartarto, Foreign Minister Sugiono, Minister of Investment and Industrialization Rosan Roeslani, Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Bahlil Lahadalia.
Minister of Marine Affairs and Fisheries Sakti Wahyu Trenggono, Minister of Communication and Digital Meutya Hafid, Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Technology Brian Yuliarto, Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya, and Indonesian Ambassador to Japan Nurmala Kartini Pandjaitan Sjahrir.
