Meta Tests Instagram Plus, a Paid Plan That Can View People's Stories Anonymously

JAKARTA - Meta is starting to test a subscription package on Instagram. This paid service, named Instagram Plus, will give customers access to features that are exclusively provided.

One of the features available in the package is the ability to view other people's Stories anonymously. This means that subscribers can view a person's uploaded Story without fear of being found out.

In addition, customers can also see how many times their Stories have been viewed by others. With this feature, users can find out what kind of content their followers are interested in.

Unlike regular users, Instagram Plus customers can upload Stories with an additional 24-hour time. Customers will also get benefits such as highlighting Story uploads about once a week.

Next, Instagram Plus users will get a Superlike feature which is a like with a special animation. This feature can be used on the Story uploads they like.

Users can also search for specific names in the Story audience list quickly. That way, they don't have to scroll through the audience list manually just to find one account name.

Launching from TechCrunch, this trial is currently running in several countries such as Mexico, Japan, and the Philippines with varying prices. Subscription fees are priced at around one to two US dollars (Rp16 thousand - Rp33 thousand) per month, depending on the region.

Meta emphasized that Instagram Plus is different from Meta Verified services aimed at content creators and business owners. This service is specifically designed to improve the daily user experience who want more privacy and control.
