Based on Mobile Positioning Data (MPD) data, the number of movements increased by 2.53 percent compared to the previous survey results which recorded 143.92 million people.
Dudy said that the implementation of this year's Lebaran Transportation was the result of intensive cross-sectoral collaboration, both between ministries/institutions, local governments, transportation operators, and all related stakeholders.
"This collaboration is the key to ensuring that people can travel home and back safely, safely, and smoothly," said Dudy in an official statement, Monday, March 30.

In terms of safety, data from the National Police of the Republic of Indonesia shows a significant improvement.
The number of traffic accidents during the 2026 Lebaran Transportation period was recorded at 3,517 incidents, down 6.31 percent compared to the previous year which reached 3,754 incidents.
In addition, the fatality rate of accidents also experienced a significant decrease of 31.19 percent. The number of fatalities was recorded at 300 people, down from 436 people in the 2025 Lebaran Transport.
"This achievement should be appreciated, but we must also use it as a material for evaluation for future improvements. I would like to emphasize again that safety remains the top priority in every transportation organization. There should be no compromise in the aspects of the suitability of facilities, the readiness of infrastructure, and compliance with operational standards," said Dudy.
In the future, the Ministry of Transportation will continue to strengthen safety aspects through the implementation of ramp checks, field supervision, and integrated traffic control.
The utilization of technology and information systems will also be optimized to improve the response to dynamics in the field.
On the other hand, Dudy said improving the quality of service to the community is also a major concern.
"Transportation must be an effort to move people and goods, while providing a sense of security, comfort, and certainty to the community," he said.
On this occasion, Dudy also expressed his appreciation to all parties involved in the implementation of the 2026 Lebaran Transportation, ranging from the TNI, Polri, related ministries/institutions, local governments, transportation operators, to all levels of the Ministry of Transportation.
Gratitude was also expressed to the mass media and national journalists who had provided accurate information to the public during the homecoming and return flow periods.
"And of course, I have to express my gratitude to all the people who have obeyed the officers' instructions and actively participated in maintaining order and safety during the journey," concluded Dudy.
