The Bandung PN's Jabar Chamber of Commerce lawsuit has not touched the core of the matter

BANDUNG - The continuation of the lawsuit against the General Chairman of the West Java Chamber of Commerce, Muprov Preanger Bandung, Nizar Sungkar, against the General Chairman of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce, Anindya Bakrie, at the Bandung District Court, Monday, March 30, 2026, has not touched on the main issue. The panel of judges is still examining the completeness of the data of the parties.

The trial was chaired by Chief Judge Riyanto Alosyus. During the trial, the judge reprimanded Azis Syamsudin, the main defendant's lawyer Anindya Bakrie, because his personal data as a lawyer was not complete.

Anindya was not present in person. Nizar Sungkar came to the trial, but was not willing to comment much on the lawsuit filed. The reason is that the trial is still dealing with administrative matters.

The trial was also attended by a number of Nizar supporters, including Rayhan from the West Java Indonesian Developer Association, Koswara from the Indonesian Exhibition Organizer Association, and Fahrur Rosidi from the West Java Indonesian Catering Service Association. They said they came to support Nizar and demand the Central Chamber of Commerce to obey the organization's rules.

"Mr. Nizar was elected in accordance with the AD and ART so we consider it necessary to support, as well as to remind the Central Chamber of Commerce to uphold the rules," said Koswara.

The trial lasted less than 30 minutes and was adjourned until next Monday because there were still missing files.

Nizar's lawyer, Tri Laksono, said the lawsuit was divided into three groups. The first group is aimed at the Central Kadin elements, namely Anindya Bakrie, Erwin Aksa, Taufan Eko Nugroho, and Doddy Ahmad Firdaus. The second group is directed at the Muprov Kadin West Java committee. The third group is aimed at Almer Faiq Rusydi, Chairman of the West Java Kadin version of the Bogor Muprov.

This dispute started from two Muprov held on September 24, 2025. The Muprov in Bogor produced Almer Faiq Rusydi, while the Muprov Preanger Bandung chose Nizar Sungkar. Nizar's party claimed that the forum in Bandung was held by a caretaker officially formed by the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and was valid according to the AD/ART. However, according to the plaintiff, the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry did not issue a decision letter of approval for Nizar, and instead appointed Almer in Cirebon on November 27, 2025. This is the reason that is now brought to court as a lawsuit against the law.
