281 Students and Teachers Killed Due to the United States-Israel Attack on Iran

JAKARTA - At least 281 students and teachers have been killed in attacks by the United States and Israel since late last month, an Iranian official said on Sunday.

The dead included 222 students, four preschool children, 48 teachers, and seven retired education staff, Hossein Sadeghi, head of the Information and Public Relations Center at the Ministry of Education, told the state news agency IRNA, quoted by Anadolu (30/3).

He added that at least 185 students and education personnel were also injured in the US-Israeli attack.

Sadeghi further said that the US and Israeli attacks had also damaged 789 administrative, cultural and educational facilities, including 700 schools, 40 administrative buildings, 30 sports facilities, five student camps, and 14 cultural and educational centers.

It is known that the US and Israel have carried out air raids against Iran since February 28, killing more than 1,340 people to date, including former Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.

In response, the Land of the Mullahs retaliated with drone strikes and missiles targeting Israel, along with Jordan, Iraq, and Gulf states hosting US military assets, causing casualties and infrastructure damage and disrupting global markets and flights.
