East Java Governor Khofifah Reviews the Price of Bapokting at the Pascalebaran Market

East Java - East Java Governor Khofifah Indar Parawansa reviewed the prices of essential basic necessities (Bapokting) at the Legi Market, Ponorogo Regency, Sunday, to ensure price stability and smooth distribution after Eid al-Fitr 2026.

Khofifah said the results of the monitoring showed that the price conditions were relatively stable with sufficient supplies available in the market.

"At the beginning of this Syawal, we ensure that the distribution of basic necessities is safe and smooth. From monitoring, the price is maintained stable and even some have decreased," he said.

He said that one of the commodities that experienced a significant decline was chicken meat, from previously around Rp55 thousand per kilogram during Lebaran to around Rp38 thousand per kilogram.

In addition, a number of other commodities such as rice from the Food Supply and Price Stabilization Program (SPHP), Minyakita cooking oil, and beef are still at the highest retail price (HET).

"In general, the price and availability of stocks in the market are safe and under control," he said.

Khofifah also appreciated the role of Perum Bulog in maintaining rice price stability through the SPHP program, which is sold at the Legi Market for around Rp. 57 thousand per five kilograms.

According to him, this condition shows that the food distribution system in the area is running effectively, so it needs to be maintained through regular supervision by the local government.

"Monitoring must continue to be carried out so that prices remain in accordance with standards," he said.

During the monitoring, the team also found that the price of Minyakita was sold above HET. However, after coordination was carried out, the price was adjusted again.

"We have coordinated and now the price is in accordance with the provisions," said Khofifah.
