Mulyono Leads PBFI Bulungan, Ready to Face Porprov

BULUNGAN - The Bulungan Regency Consultative Assembly (Muskab) of the Indonesian Bodybuilding and Fitness Association (PBFI) officially appointed Mulyono as the Chairman of the Bulungan PBFI for the period 2026-2030, Sunday (29/3/2026).

He was elected by acclamation in a forum that took place smoothly, democratically, and full of enthusiasm for togetherness.

The Muskab was held as a follow-up to the expiration of the previous management's term of office in 2025.

In addition to being an election for the chairman, this forum is also an important momentum for the consolidation of the organization as well as reviving the coaching of the binaraga and fitness sports branches in Bulungan Regency.

This activity was also attended by representatives of the North Kalimantan PBFI Provincial Management (Kaltara) Deputy Chairman of PBFI Kaltara, Iwan, and the Achievement Development (Binpres) of KONI Bulungan, Heri Prasetyo, who were present on behalf of the Chairman of KONI Bulungan.

Heri Prasetyo expressed his appreciation for the initiative of the management and sports people who reactivated the PBFI Bulungan.

According to him, this step is an important part of supporting the improvement of athletes' achievements in the future.

"We from KONI are certainly proud of the effort to revive PBFI Bulungan. Thank you for the commitment of all parties. This is an important part of preparing for successful weightlifting athletes," he said.

He emphasized that KONI plays a role as a facilitator for all sports branches, so it is hoped that PBFI Bulungan will be able to maximize the training of athletes in a sustainable manner.

"The process of producing athletes is not instant, it takes a long time, discipline, and consistent coaching. Therefore, the recruitment must run well so that in the future potential athletes will be born," he added.

Heri also reminded the importance of maintaining the organization's solidity. He also emphasized that any differences of opinion could be resolved internally without disturbing the training of athletes.

"Don't let organizational issues affect athletes. Solidity is the key to keeping training optimal," he said.

Meanwhile, the Deputy Chairman of the North Kalimantan PBFI, Iwan, hopes that the new management can establish an intense communication with the provincial management.

He emphasized his party's readiness to provide support and assistance.

"We in the province are ready to help and guide. Hopefully, the new management can continue to synergize and communicate well," he said.

He also invited all parties who have a commitment to contribute to the management to strengthen the PBFI Bulungan organization in the future. Regarding the nearest work program, Iwan highlighted the importance of being ready to face the Provincial Sports Week (Porprov) event which is scheduled in the near future.

He emphasized the need for synergy between managers, local governments, and athletes.

"The new chairman must be able to build solid cooperation with all parties. Bulungan athletes have great potential and are able to compete with other regions, even at the national level," he said.

Iwan also reminded the administrators to immediately prepare the administrative aspects, including athlete data entry, as part of their readiness to participate in the championship.

"Administrative preparations must be carried out immediately, especially data collection of athletes so that readiness to face the Porprov can be maximized," he added.

The elected chairman, Mulyono, expressed his gratitude and thanks for the trust given to him to lead PBFI Bulungan. He assessed that the Muskab process took place democratically and full of family atmosphere.

"Alhamdulillah, this is a great trust that must be carried out with full responsibility. We will focus on coaching athletes, improving the quality of coaches, and expanding participation in various championships," said Mulyono.

He is also committed to strengthening synergy with local governments and KONI to encourage the progress of bodybuilding and fitness sports in Bulungan Regency.

"With the formation of the new leadership, it is hoped that PBFI Bulungan will be more solid, professional, and able to produce athletes who can make the name of the region shine in various competitions, both at the provincial and national levels," he concluded.
