DKI Provincial Government Prepares DKI Anjungan Revitalization at TMII, Target Completed in One Year
JAKARTA - Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta Rano Karno reviewed the DKI Jakarta Pavilion in the area of Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII), Cipayung, East Jakarta. During the visit, he ensured that the local government would revitalize the pavilion.
According to Rano, the update is not just a physical improvement, but also targets a long-term concept. The DKI Provincial Government is preparing a development design for the next 20 years, with emphasis on the use of digital technology.
"Now children have a different view. We have to prepare for the digital era because that's the era," said Rano, Sunday, March 29.
He assessed that the DKI Jakarta Pavilion has the potential to be developed as a showcase for the capital's culture. Not only showcasing Betawi culture, but also representing the diversity of the Jakarta community as well as being an educational space for visitors.
This revitalization plan has actually been prepared since the last two years. The DKI Jakarta Department of Construction, Spatial Planning, and Land has started preparing the project since 2024, with a total estimated budget requirement of IDR 77.5 billion.
"This revitalization has been planned since 2024 by the Department of Construction, Spatial Planning, and Land. The total budget requirement is estimated to reach IDR 77.5 billion," said Rano.
In terms of financing, this project will use a combination scheme between non-APBD and APBD funds. In the initial phase of 2026, Rp. 25 billion will be supported by PT Wisma Nusantara Internasional. The DKI Provincial Government is also seeking an additional Rp. 25 billion from similar sources.
With this scheme, the total contribution to non-APBD is targeted to reach Rp50 billion. Meanwhile, the remaining budget needs of Rp27.5 billion are planned to be met through the 2027 fiscal year APBD.
Rano explained that the project phase would begin with the asset removal process in April 2026, followed by construction in June 2026. Revitalization is targeted to be completed within one year.
"The process of removing assets is scheduled to begin in April 2026, while construction is targeted to begin in June 2026. This revitalization is targeted to be completed within one year, so that the DKI Jakarta Pier can be put back into service on the 500th anniversary of the City of Jakarta," he explained.
