JAKARTA - Minister of Transportation Dudy Purwagandhi ensures that the return flow of Lebaran 1447 Hijriah at the Sumatra-Java crossing runs smoothly at the Bakauheni Port. This is realized by strengthening services, operational arrangements, and cross-agency coordination.

The Minister of Transportation admitted that he had reviewed the return flow of the Sumatra-Java crossing during the 1447 Hijriah Lebaran transportation period at the Bakauheni Port, South Lampung, Lampung, on Friday (27/3) and Saturday (28/3).

"Until Saturday, the return flow at Bakauheni Port is going well. Thank you to all the people who are on their way home or back following the directions and instructions of the officers in the field," said the Minister of Transportation.

He said, based on data from the ASDP Indonesia Ferry Transportation Post at Bakauheni Port, the cumulative realization of passengers returning to Java since March 22 to March 27, 2026 at 14.00 WIB (H to H+5 Lebaran) was recorded as 543,440 people, or about 60 percent of the total 898,864 people who departed from Java during the homecoming flow (H-10 to H Lebaran).

Meanwhile, the total vehicles that have returned have reached 144,039 units, or 60 percent of the total 239,920 units of vehicles during the homecoming period. This figure shows that there are still about 40 percent of travelers who will return in the next few days.

Dudy said that the Ministry of Transportation together with ASDP, the Indonesian National Police and all stakeholders concerned had prepared the operational implementation of the return flow at the Bakauheni Port as much as possible.

"We believe that the remaining 40 percent of travelers who will return to the region through Bakauheni Port will be well served," he said.

The Minister of Transportation emphasized that safety aspects were one of the priorities in the implementation of the Eid al-Fitr transportation. For this reason, the Minister of Transportation ensures that all services are safe, secure, and comfortable.

He also ensured the readiness of the backflow service at the Ketapang port, Banyuwangi, East Java.

He said, regarding the crossing in Ketapang - Gilimanuk which is related, there are still pilgrims who will return to Bali Island through the Ketapang Port, his party has prepared a buffer zone, accelerated the activation of TBB (arrival - unloading - departure), and additional ships.

"So hopefully we can discuss this number," said the Minister of Transportation.
