Backflow Vehicle Queue H+7 Lebaran in Ketapang-Gilimanuk Meluber
JAKARTA - The peak of the H+7 Lebaran return flow at the Ketapang crossing port, Banyuwangi-Gilimanuk, Bali is crowded and vehicles that will cross are dominated by motorcycle and private car travelers on Sunday, March 29.
From field observation, since 08.00 WIB, hundreds of motorcyclists have continued to arrive from the south (Jember-Banyuwangi) and from the north (Situbondo-Banyuwangi) and filled the automatic motorcycle crossing gate.
Not only motorcyclists, four-wheeled vehicles (private cars) also seemed to fill the main parking area of Ketapang Port, including the entrance lane of the port pier.
"I chose to return to Bali today because tomorrow my child will go to school and I myself have to work," said one of the private car travelers from Lumajang Regency, East Java, Sri Rahayu while queuing at the main parking area of Ketapang Port, Banyuwangi, Sunday, quoted by Antara.
He admitted that it took him almost two hours to get to the Ketapang Port parking area, starting from the Farly Ketapang gas station intersection (1.2 km to the port) because he was directed to turn around the ring road.
"We are going to take a detour to the port," he said to avoid congestion on the arterial road in front of the Ketapang Port entrance," said Sri Rahayu.
From observation, health workers moved quickly to provide medical services to private car travelers from Genteng District, Banyuwangi, who almost fainted while queuing in the main parking area of the port.
Health officials, assisted by TNI members, rushed to help the almost fainting traveler in his vehicle and were taken to a health post at Ketapang Port.
Previously, since early Sunday, March 29, hundreds of logistics trucks that would cross to the Gilimanuk Port, Jembrana Regency, Bali Province, through the Ketapang Port, Banyuwangi Regency, East Java, were held up and queued for up to 12 hours.
From observation, until Sunday, March 29, 2026 at 05.15 WIB, logistics trucks queued along the arterial road from the Sri Tanjung Terminal to the entrance of the Ketapang Port, because the buffer zone or parking pocket at Bulusan was full.
However, at 10.00 WIB, gradually the long line of logistics trucks began to disperse and the logistics trucks crossed to Gilimanuk Port.
