Widowed Mother And Son Arrested By Police For Selling Sabu

JAKARTA - The Mataram City Police, West Nusa Tenggara, arrested a housewife and her widowed daughter suspected of being involved in the distribution of methamphetamine.

Head of the Narcotics Investigation Unit of the Mataram Police, AKP I Made Yogi Purusa Utama, said that the mother and child had the initials NK (41) and PE (25). Both were arrested at their boarding house in the Kekalik area, Mataram City, on Thursday, June 3 evening, at around 11.30 WITA.

"So he (NK) is a big player who has converted. Repent, continue to sell diamonds. He admits that he has only been playing (selling methamphetamine) for the past two weeks," said Yogim as quoted by Antara, Friday, June 4.

From the arrests, the suspected shabu has been secured, which is believed to be 5 grams of unsold remains. There are also sales log books, large and small plastic clips, electric scales, cell phones, IDR 1.1 million in cash, shabu smoker, and an account book.

"From that room he used to break up methamphetamine to be resold in retail," he said.

To retail and take the supply of methamphetamine, NK has three subordinates who are given the role of launcher. These three people were successfully arrested from the development of one of the houses in BTN Reyan Pondok Indah, Gerung Selatan, Gerung, West Lombok Regency.

They include the initials KR (28), HM (29), and AR (24). In addition to receiving wages, the three of them received rations of methamphetamine from NK.

"We call this woman a dealer. Because she takes goods from the East, and from Batam, then she sells it here again," he said.

From the confession, HM and KR have bridged NK's order to collect methamphetamine to East Lombok Regency four times. Each time the package is taken, ranging from 10 grams to 15 grams of crystal methamphetamine.

"One way the wages are Rp. 500 thousand to Rp. 700 thousand," said Yogi.

Furthermore, the police are currently investigating the role of NK's daughter. Because the widow of two children was also arrested while in NK's room.

"From the results of his urine test (PE), it was negative. So we are currently investigating his involvement. After he divorced, he joined his mother. So he was always with NK," he said.
