BPBD Jepara Finds Two Victims of Drowning in a Waterfall Who Died

JEPARA - The Jepara Regency BPBD, Central Java, together with a joint team found two drowning victims at the Watu Bobot Waterfall tourist attraction in Somosari Village, Batealit District, Jepara in a dead state, Saturday.

According to the Acting Head of the BPBD Jepara, Arwin Noor Isdiyanto, the second drowning victim occurred on Saturday (28/3) morning at 08.30 WIB.

The two victims, Muhammad Miftahul Koir (18) and Azka (18), are both from Bawu Village, Batealit District, Jepara.

The incident began at around 08.00 WIB, when four people left their homes for the Watu Bobot Waterfall tourist site, Dukuh Sepando, Somosari Village, Batealit District, Jepara Regency and arrived at 08.30 WIB.

At the location, one of the victims on behalf of Azka swam, but then drowned in a water location with a depth of five meters. His friend named Muhammad Miftahul Koir who tried to provide help also drowned.

The incident was then reported to residents and forwarded to the Jepara BPBD, who together with volunteers went to the location to search.

After struggling for several hours, the two victims were finally found at 11.50 WIB in a dead state and were later evacuated to the Batealit Health Center for further treatment.

He appealed to the public who play in the water to be extra vigilant, so that the loss of human life can be minimized.
