JAKARTA - The Financial Audit Agency (BPK) has begun examining the Financial Statements (LK) of the Ministry of Youth and Sports (Kemenpora) and the Ministry of Social Affairs (Kemensos) for 2025.
"This activity is the first step in ensuring that the management of state finances is carried out transparently, accountable, and in accordance with the provisions of laws and regulations," said BPK Member III Akhsanul Khaq as reported by ANTARA, Saturday, March 28.
At the meeting at the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Akhsanul explained to the Minister of Youth and Sports Erick Thohir and his staff, the examination aims to provide an opinion on the reasonableness of the LK Kemenpora 2025 by considering its conformity with the Government Accounting Standards (SAP), adequacy of disclosure, compliance with the provisions of laws and regulations, and the effectiveness of the Internal Control System (SPI).
The examination is directed at strategic areas, including the implementation of the agency's financial application system, spending management, and strengthening internal controls to improve the quality of government performance reporting.
During the activity, the BPK III Member also emphasized the importance of active support from all levels of the ministry during the examination process.
"BPK expects the support of the leadership and officials of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, especially in providing data and information so that the inspection activities can run smoothly and on time," he said.
The BPK also held an entry meeting for the 2025 LK Kemensos audit as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen state financial governance, especially in the management of government spending and social programs.
The audit includes testing of the management of goods and social assistance expenditures, the accuracy of financial reporting, and the effectiveness of SPI.
"BPK is committed to synergizing as a partner of the Ministry of Social Affairs in improving the governance of state finances and the performance of public services," he said in front of Social Minister Saifullah Yusuf.
