RI-China Ready to Increase Strategic Partnership through BIN-MSS

JAKARTA - Indonesia is ready to increase the strategic partnership between the Chinese Ministry of State Security (MSS) and the National Intelligence Agency (BIN) in line with President Prabowo Subianto's strategic vision to strengthen national security in the midst of global geopolitical dynamics.

Reported by ANTARA, Friday, March 27, the Cabinet Secretary (Seskab) Teddy Indra Wijaya said that one of the focuses of strengthening cooperation in the future between the two countries is to increase the strategic partnership between MSS and BIN which is in line with President Prabowo's vision.

"The improvement of good relations and cooperation between the MSS and BIN in the future is part of the foreign policy of the Prabowo government, which has a vision to improve Indonesian national security in the midst of geopolitical dynamics in the multipolar order through an active role in various dimensions of international relations," said the Presidential Secretariat. Teddy Indra Wijaya.

In a meeting with the Minister of State Security/MSS Chen Yi Xin at the State Palace, Jakarta, on Friday (27/3), President Prabowo discussed increasing cooperation between countries in maintaining regional security stability.

China expressed hope to strengthen cooperation with friendly countries in maintaining and improving security stability.

"Chen expressed the hope that the PRC would work with friendly countries to build cooperation to maintain and improve security stability in Asia and the world," said the Presidential Secretariat, Teddy.

In response to this, the Head of State emphasized the importance of security stability for Indonesia. According to him, this is the main foundation in supporting sustainable economic growth.

Welcoming the expectations of the Chinese side, President Prabowo reiterated Indonesia's view on the importance of the meaning of regional stability for Indonesia in order to support sustainable economic growth.

In line with this, President Prabowo welcomed the opportunity to increase cooperation between Indonesia and China which is expected to provide equal and mutually beneficial benefits for both countries, especially in the field of security.

"Furthermore, President Prabowo welcomed the hope of the MSS to be able to increase cooperation for the benefit of both countries," said the Presidential Secretariat.
