Join "The Dark Power: Blood Pact", Kiki Narendra Finally Becomes a Priest

JAKARTA - Actor Kiki Narendra revealed his enthusiasm for joining the cast of Kuasa Gelap: Perjanjian Darah. He will play the role of Romo Wicaksana, one of the new Romo characters who joins the second film.

"When I first watched Kuasa Gelap, "I didn't know there was a casting". One day, sir (Robert Ronny - producer) DM me and asked if I wanted to cast for Kuasa Gelap 2 and I said I wanted it because I was Catholic," said Kiki Narendra in a press conference in South Jakarta on Friday, March 27.

"Then he said "Loh, it turns out that Kiki is Catholic?" he said, imitating the producer's answer.

As a Catholic, Kiki Narendra feels relieved to finally get the role as a priest. So far, he admitted that he had played many religious figures from other religions but had never played the character of a priest.

"I did research with my brother who happened to be a Frater (a man who studies to be a priest) and the priest is also not married," he said again.

Rizal Mantovani as the director also felt a great challenge and burden because his first film received a good response. Then, he felt that the burden had to be turned into a spirit to present a horror film that was entertaining but still contained.

"I think if I'm stressed with this burden, I won't go anywhere so I changed it to enthusiasm and saw Dark Power: Blood Pact about the character more deeply including other layers that can be echoed. I became enthusiastic," said Rizal Mantovani.

The second film of Dark Power will tell the story of Daniel (Venly Kurnia), a child possessed by the devil and experiencing chaos. Romo Rendra (Lukman Sardi) who faces this case begins to remember his past and affects him.

"I tried something I've never tried before," said Rizal Mantovani.

The production of the film Kuasa Gelap: Perjanjian Darah will begin next month and the film is planned to be released this year in cinemas.
