BI Records Circulation Money Reaches IDR 10,089.9 Trillion in February 2026

Bank Indonesia (BI) recorded the economy's liquidity or broad money (M2) growing positively in February 2026.

BI Communication Department Executive Director Ramdan Denny Prakoso conveyed that the position of M2 in February 2026 was recorded at Rp10,089.9 trillion or grew by 8.7 percent (yoy), after in January 2026 it grew by 10.0 percent (yoy).

"This development is driven by the narrow growth of the money supply (M1) of 14.4 percent (yoy) and quasi-money of 3.1 percent (yoy)," he said in a statement, Friday, March 27.

Denny conveyed the development of M2 in February 2026 was mainly influenced by net bills to the Central Government (Pempus) and credit distribution.

Meanwhile, the distribution of credit in February 2026 grew by 8.9 percent (yoy), continuing the growth in January 2026 by 10.2 percent (yoy).

Meanwhile, net billings to Pempus grew by 25.6 percent (yoy), increasing compared to the growth in January 2026 of 22.6 percent (yoy).

The credit provided is only in the form of Loans, and does not include financial instruments that are equated with loans, such as debt securities, banker's acceptances, and repo bills.

In addition, the credit granted does not include credit granted by the offices of General Banks located abroad, and credit disbursed to the Central Government and Non-Residents.
