Google Launches Live Translate Headphone on iPhone

Google has finally brought one of its most futuristic features to Apple's ecosystem. The headphone-based live translate feature is now officially available on iOS, turning ordinary earbuds into real-time translators.

Through integration with Google Translate, iPhone users can now hear the translation of foreign conversations directly through headphones - without having to back and forth to see the screen. Just open the app, connect the earphones, and activate the live translate feature. The rest? Let the AI do the work.

The technology works by capturing the voice of the interlocutor, processing it instantly, then sending the results of the translation in the form of audio directly to the user's ears. So if you are chatting with tourists or international clients, it feels like you have a personal interpreter - without having to pay expensive.

Currently, this feature supports more than 70 languages, and Google claims its system is able to maintain intonation and speech rhythm so that it does not sound stiff like a robot. This is important, because in communication, "how to talk" is sometimes as important as "what is being said".

Previously, this feature was exclusive to Android. Now, with the expansion to iOS, Google is clearly expanding its reach - and at the same time challenging the market for premium translator devices that can make your wallet think twice.

In addition, Google is also expanding the availability of this feature to various countries such as Japan, Germany, France, and the United Kingdom. Although the rollout is carried out gradually, global iPhone users - including in Indonesia - are likely to be the first to get it.
