WIKA Targets the Completion of the Construction of 1 Aceh People's School on July 25, 2026

JAKARTA - PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk (WIKA) continues to accelerate the completion of the People's School (SR) 1 Aceh. It is noted that currently the progress of the SR construction has reached 15 percent.

President Director of Wijaya Karya Agung Budi Waskito said his party targeted the construction of the SR to be completed by the end of July.

"Until now, the development achievement has reached 15 percent with a target of completion on June 20, 2026 and the final completion is scheduled to be completed on July 25, 2026," said Budi Waskito as quoted from a written statement, Friday, March 27.

The construction of the SR is carried out in three locations, namely Aceh Besar Regency, Bireuen and Lhokseumawe City. Budi Waskito said, the three locations have relatively similar stages of work, where the work has been completed including land preparation and maturation and foundation work.

"Currently, construction is entering the stage of lower structure work and upper structure," he said.

In order to accelerate the completion, said Budi Waskito, the project adopted a construction method by replacing the upper structure from conventional concrete to a steel structure.

In addition, innovation is also applied through the use of Glassfiber Reinforced Cement (GRC) material as a substitute for conventional formwork which is more effective, efficient and supports the acceleration of work.

According to Budi Waskito, the construction of SR Aceh 1 is in line with the implementation of the government's Astacita, especially in efforts to improve the quality of human resources through equitable access to education.

The project is expected to open wider educational opportunities for the community, especially the poor, as well as encourage sustainable regional economic growth.

"With the progress continuing and various innovations being implemented, this project is expected to be completed according to target and immediately utilized by the community ahead of the new school year," he added.
