Arus Balik Lebaran Kedua, One Way Cipali Arah Jakarta Berlaku 28–29 Maret
KARAWANG - The National Police Traffic Corps (Korlantas) will implement the first phase of local one-way traffic engineering ahead of the second homecoming peak which falls on March 28-29, 2026.
Head of the National Police Traffic Corps (Kakorlantas) Inspector General Pol. Agus Suryonugroho said the scheme was planned to start from KM 188 Cipali Toll Road or KM 263 Pejagan Toll Road towards Jakarta.
"It is likely that Friday will be the first local one-way engineering, possibly from KM 188 Cipali Toll Road or KM 263 Pejagan Toll Road. The decision will be determined with the aim of accelerating the return flow from Trans Java to Jakarta," he said at the Jasa Marga Office KM 70 Cikampek Utama Toll Road, Karawang, West Java, Friday, March 27.
In addition, he continued, if the flow of vehicles from East Java, Yogyakarta, Solo Raya, and Semarang is still high, it is possible that one way will be implemented from KM 414 Kalikangkung Toll.
"We will see the dynamics on the ground. If the flow is still high, additional engineering will be immediately implemented to ensure smoothness," said Agus, quoted by Antara.
Furthermore, Agus said that the traffic conditions from KM 414 Kalikangkung Toll to KM 200 Cipali Toll on Thursday (26/3) were still relatively smooth with vehicle speeds ranging from 60-70 kilometers/hour.
However, congestion began to occur when entering KM 20 due to side obstacles.
"We see quite a lot of travelers who are exhausted and stop on the side of the road or rest area. Almost all rest areas are full and unable to accommodate vehicles so that there is a buildup," he said.
However, he continued, in general, traffic flow at night can still be managed well.
Meanwhile, on arterial roads, the density is seen to be more significant when traffic engineering is not implemented.
Community movement in the agglomeration area and local social activities are still taking place, although not too crowded.
