150,000 Vehicles Passed, Functional Section 2 of the Serang-Panimbang Toll Road Temporarily Closed
Serang - Panimbang Toll Section 2 functional road was officially closed temporarily on March 26, 2026 starting at 17.00 WIB, in order to complete construction and improve service quality.
This was done after 15 days supporting the smooth flow of homecoming and serving more than 150,000 vehicles.
The functional period of Section 2 of the Rangkasbitung-Cikulur-Cileles section began on March 12, 2026, the section has been present to serve the community, especially in supporting the smooth flow of homecoming.
During this period, the functional section has served more than 150,000 vehicles, making a real contribution to speeding up the travel time from Jabodetabek to Serang, Lebak, Pandeglang & surrounding areas as well as opening easier access to flagship tourist destinations such as Baduy Village, Sawarna and Tanjung Lesung.
Quoting Wika Serang Panimbang's official Instagram account @wikaserpan, Thursday, March 26, the existence of the functional section not only helps to reduce traffic density, but also speeds up travel to tourist destinations in South Banten.
"The 2 section of Cikulur-Cileles Section has served 150,000 vehicles for 15 days during the 2026 Lebaran homecoming period. Accelerating mobility and improving connectivity to tourist destinations in South Banten," wrote the account.
The functionality of the section has cut the travel time from Jabodetabek to South Banten by 50 percent.
"Thank you for using the Serang-Panimbang Toll Road. Our functional road is temporarily closed for construction completion & improvement of services more optimally," he concluded.
To note, the Serang-Panimbang Toll Road is part of the Toll Road network connected to the Trans Java Toll Road which connects Jakarta, Serang, Lebak to Pandeglang.
The toll road is expected to increase the connectivity and accessibility of the Banten region, especially in Central and South Banten, as well as encourage economic growth and tourism in the area.
