EU: Russia gives Iran intelligence on US-Israeli attacks

JAKARTA - The European Union (EU) High Representative for Foreign Affairs, Kaja Kallas, who pressured Iran, did not mention the US-Israeli-triggered attack, commenting again on the war that is raging in the Middle East.

Kallas accused Russia of providing intelligence support to Iran in a war that initially began with a massive US-Israeli attack on Iran since February 28.

"We see that Russia is helping Iran with intelligence to target Americans, to kill Americans, and Russia is also supporting Iran now with drones so they can attack neighboring countries and also US military bases," Kallas told reporters at a G7 meeting in France, Thursday night. March 26, quoted from CBS News.

However, Kallas understands that if this war wants to end, the US-Israel must stop attacking Iran. On the one hand, he then called on the US to increase pressure on Russia, especially in the war in Ukraine.

"These wars are very related... If America wants the war in the Middle East to stop, Iran to stop attacking them, they also have to put pressure on Russia so that they cannot help them in this matter," he added.

Previously, Russia had denied the issue of intelligence support for Iran. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said "There are so many lies spread by the media... Don't pay attention to them."
