Iga Massardi Kasih Penyelenggara Festival Musik Bodong

IGA MASSARDI - Iga Massardi through Instagram Story, conveyed her complaint against the organizers of a music concert who were considered irresponsible after canceling the concert.

As is known, the cancellation of the concert by the organizers is a big problem in the music performance industry in Indonesia.

After the pandemic, dozens of music concerts were canceled or rescheduled, ranging from world music concerts in Jakarta to music festivals in various regions,

Most recently, the Riang Gembira (Rigem) Festival, which was scheduled to take place in Yogyakarta on March 28, was confirmed to be canceled after the organizers made an announcement on the official social media account.

As for Barasuara, a band from Iga Massardi, is in the ranks of performers at the Rigem Festival, along with Idgitaf, for Revenge, The Jeblogs, to Perunggu.

Although he did not specifically name the Rigem Festival, Iga in his statement criticized the organizers who were considered irresponsible after announcing the cancellation of the concert.

"The cancellation of the event is not just about the event that did not take place. This is about many people who have sacrificed time, energy, and money," wrote Iga.

"Some have already bought tickets. who have booked hotels. Some have already bought transportation tickets from out of town, which is not cheap. Some have taken leave, family leave, and planned in advance just to watch their idol band or singer at a festival," he continued. "If. indeed not ready and not competent, learn and prepare everything properly first. Don't just make an event and then ruin the plans and the livelihood of many people. That's cruel."

The 40-year-old musician explicitly called those who were not competent as "bogus festival organizers", which could harm the music ecosystem itself.

"Such a bodong festival not only harms the audience, but also damages the ecosystem. Vendors are harmed, artists are harmed, tenants are harmed, production teams are harmed. All are affected," he said.

"For serious, professional, and responsible festival organizers: thank you. Because it's you who keep this ecosystem alive," he added.

"Hopefully those who are not responsible will slowly disappear, and those who really intend to work well will continue to survive," concluded Iga.
