SAMARINDA - The East Kalimantan High Prosecutor's Office has saved state funds worth Rp. 214,283,871,000 seized from the alleged corruption case for the utilization of state-owned goods at the Ministry of Villages, Disadvantaged Regions and Transmigration.

"The rescue of these assets is related to the implementation of mining activities by PT JMB Group on transmigration land located in Kutai Kartanegara Regency," said Head of the Legal Information Section of the Kaltim Prosecutor's Office, Toni Yuswanto, as reported by ANTARA, Thursday, March 26.

In addition to cash in rupiah currency, the East Kalimantan Prosecutor's Office also secured a pile of cash in various foreign currencies. Some of them include 103,025 US dollars, 11,909 Singapore dollars, 4,280 Australian dollars, as well as a number of euro, ringgit, and Korean won currencies.

"This investigation is based on the Investigation Order issued by the Head of the Kaltim Prosecutor's Office since January 19, 2026," said Toni.

Until now, the investigating prosecutor has arrested and detained six suspects consisting of private elements and state organizers.

The seizure was carried out in accordance with the provisions of Article 118 of Law Number 20 of 2025 concerning the Code of Criminal Procedure (KUHAP) for the purpose of proving in court.

Not only cash, the Korps Adhyaksa team also seized dozens of luxury goods in the form of branded bags from various world-renowned manufacturers. There are 13 Chanel bags, six Louis Vuitton bags, and collections from Hermes, Gucci, and gold jewelry that were secured.

Investigators also seized four luxury cars as evidence, namely the Hyundai Ioniq 6, Mitsubishi Pajero Sport, Lexus LX 570, and Hyundai Creta.

All the evidence is now in the hands of the prosecutor's office to clarify the criminal acts that occurred in the transmigration land case.

"This effort to save state finances is one of the efforts of the Attorney General's Office in eradicating corruption in the East Kalimantan region," said Toni.
