SAR Evacuation of the Body of the Excavator Driver who was Hit by a Large Rock Due to a Landslide in Baubau
JAKARTA - The Search and Rescue Office (KPP) or Kendari Basarnas evacuated an excavator driver Akbar (33), who was pinned by a large rock due to a landslide in Baubau City, Southeast Sulawesi (Sultra).
Head of Basarnas Kendari Amiruddin said the incident was first reported by the Head of the Fire Department (Damkar) of Baubau at 11.30 Wita.
"We received information that there was a condition that endangered humans against one person who was trapped in an excavator due to being hit by a large rock in Baubau," said Amiruddin as quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, March 26.
Based on the report, his party then sent the Baubau SAR Post Rescue Team to the location of the incident to provide SAR assistance, at 11.45 Wita.
"With the distance of the location of the incident to the Baubau SAR Post about 12 kilometers," he said.
Amirudidn revealed that when he arrived at the scene, the Baubau SAR Post Rescue Team immediately carried out an evacuation with the joint team, at 12.15 Wita.
"The victim was successfully evacuated in a state of death, at 13.15 Wita. After being evacuated, the victim's body was immediately taken to the Palagimata Regional General Hospital (RSUD)," said Amiruddin.
