Whoosh Passengers Increase 11.3 Percent During Lebaran Transportation 2026
JAKARTA - PT Kereta Cepat Indonesia China (KCIC) recorded an increase in the volume of Whoosh passengers by around 11.3 percent or reached 224,827 passengers during the 2026 Lebaran Transportation period compared to the same period in 2025.
"During the 2026 Lebaran Transportation period in the period H-8 to H+3 or March 13-25, the number of passengers was recorded at 224,827 passengers or increased by around 11.3 percent," said KCICDwiyana Slamet Riyadi's President Director as quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, March 26.
Dwiyana said this figure increased compared to the 2025 Lebaran period which reached 202,007 passengers.
Then, the peak of temporary occupancy of the 2026 Lebaran Transportation occurred on Tuesday (24/3) with a volume of 24,315 passengers in one day.
"This figure is higher than the peak of the 2025 Lebaran Transportation which was recorded at 23,462 passengers, or an increase of around 3.6 percent," he said.
Based on these data, he assessed that the passenger volume of Whooshpada Lebaran Transportation this year showed a very positive trend.
"We also see a trend in demand that is still high and is projected to remain above 20 thousand passengers per day until the weekend, and has the potential to increase again at the end of the holiday period as people return to their activities," he said.
Until now, the daily passenger volume is still high and is predicted to continue to be above 20 thousand passengers per day until the weekend.
With the increasing sales trend, KCIC ensures that operational readiness remains optimal, both in terms of travel schedules, passenger services, and safety and comfort during travel.
Emir urged people who have not yet received tickets to immediately make reservations, considering that seat availability can be more limited during the Lebaran transportation period.
