US Claims to Destroy 2/3 of Iran's Missile and Drone Production Capacity

JAKARTA - The United States has destroyed two-thirds of Iran's missile and drone production facilities, as well as a similar proportion of its naval production, a senior officer said on Wednesday.

In a video posted on X, US Central Command (US CENTCOM) Commander Admiral Brad Cooper also estimated that 92 percent of the Iranian Navy's largest ships had been damaged or destroyed.

"And my operational assessment is that they have now lost the ability to project naval power and influence significantly in this region and around the world," he said, launching Anadolu (26/3).

With the war now in its fourth week, Admiral Cooper added "we remain on track or even ahead of schedule in achieving the very clear objectives" of the war waged with Israel.

"We have damaged or destroyed more than two-thirds of Iran's missile, drone, and naval production facilities and shipyards, and we are not finished," he claimed, adding that US forces had attacked more than 10,000 military targets.

It is known that the US and Israel launched air raids against Iran in a campaign called Operation Epic Fury (US version) or Operation Roaring Lion (Israeli version) since February 28, which has so far killed more than 1,340 people, including the then Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei.

Iran has retaliated against US and Israeli attacks by launching missiles at targets across the Gulf almost daily.

However, Admiral Cooper said Iran's drone and missile launch rate had dropped by 90 percent, and "we have also eliminated the regime's ability to rebuild these facilities."
