KY Announces the Acceptance of the 2026 Supreme Court and Ad hoc Candidate Proposals

JAKARTA - The Judicial Commission (KY) officially announced the acceptance of candidates for chief justices, human rights (HAM) ad hoc judges, and corruption crime (tipikor) ad hoc judges in 2026.

The online announcement was uploaded on the official KY website, komisiyudisial.go.id on Thursday, March 26. "It has been (announced) on the website," said the Head of the KY Judge Recruitment Unit Andi Muhammad Asrun, quoted via Antara.

There are two announcements uploaded by KY, namely the announcement of the acceptance of the proposal for the 2026 Indonesian Supreme Court judge and the acceptance of the proposal for the ad hoc human rights judge and the ad hoc corruption judge.

In the announcement, KY invited all the best Indonesian citizens to become candidates for chief judges of the civil chamber, criminal chamber, religious chamber, state business administration chamber for taxes that meet the requirements.

For the chief justice, the applicant can register through the career and non-career judges track whose complete requirements are stated on the page.

Meanwhile, the ad hoc judge does not require a career or non-career judge, applies to all citizens. Especially the ad hoc judge for tipikor, it is required to have experience in the field of law for at least 20 years.

Meanwhile, online registration is open from March 26 to April 16, 2026 at 23.59 WIB.

Previously, Asrun said that in the process of recruiting candidates for the Supreme and Ad Hoc Judges, KY involved many parties to select candidates for judges who really meet the requirements including partnering with the media.

His party formed a team of reviewers and evaluators who would go down to the area to find out the track record of the candidates.

"If the (judge) who went viral leaves the trial, he will definitely not pass. I dare guarantee that he will not pass," he said.

According to him, KY is tasked with screening people who have qualifications, professionalism but also in terms of integrity are not flawed. The record is important because the position of the chief justice as the highest judge.

KY will officially give a press conference regarding the opening of the registration of candidates for chief justices, ad hoc judges, and ad hoc tipikor on Monday, March 30.
