Suzuki Records 64 Percent Sales Increase in February 2026, Carry is the Most Popular
JAKARTA - Suzuki's retail sales performance in February 2026 showed a significant increase. Based on data from the Indonesian Automotive Industry Association (Gaikindo), distribution from dealers to consumers reached 9,035 units, jumping 64 percent compared to January which recorded 5,501 units.
This surge is inseparable from the contribution of large orders or fleets which are one of the main drivers. "The achievement of growth of 64 percent in February is a positive signal of the continued strengthening of public confidence," said Dony Saputra, Deputy to 4W Sales and Marketing Director of PT Suzuki Indomobil Sales (SIS) in an official release, quoted Thursday, March 26.
Of the total sales, Suzuki Carry became the most dominant model with a contribution of 64 percent or around 5,782 units. Meanwhile, the latest Suzuki Fronx model contributed 13 percent or the equivalent of 1,174 units. Similar figures were also recorded by XL7 which contributed proportionately.
The remaining 10 percent or 903 units come from various other models, ranging from Jimny to S-Presso. Interestingly, of all the passenger cars sold, as many as 55 percent of them are hybrid variants, indicating an electrification trend that is increasingly sought after by consumers.
Currently, Suzuki offers a number of hybrid models in Indonesia, such as Fronx, Grand Vitara, Ertiga, and XL7. The technology used is a mild hybrid that is claimed to be easier to maintain, and there is still a manual transmission option on some models.
On the other hand, Suzuki is also starting to strengthen its pure electric vehicle line by introducing the e Vitara which was introduced at the 2026 Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS). This model is marketed with a price range of Rp. 700 million.
"We are committed to continuing to provide reliable and efficient mobility solutions, to ensure that every Suzuki product can provide real benefits and added value for the productivity and daily transportation needs of our customers," said Dony.
The details of Suzuki's sales in February 2026 consist of 5,782 units of New Carry, 1,174 units of Fronx (hybrid and non-hybrid), 1,174 units of XL7 (hybrid and non-hybrid), and 903 other models.
