Robin Racing Lebaran in Subulussalam Aceh, Slowly Society Recover from Disaster

Aceh - The Acehnese community is slowly recovering from the flood disaster that hit at the end of November 2025. Seen in Rundeng District, Subulussalam City, people are doing the Robin Racing tradition.

Robin racing or Robin Cross is a traditional boat race with a Robin engine owned by fishermen.

Robin racing takes place on the Lae Soraya river which stretches in Rundeng District. This race usually takes place at the moment of Lebaran or Idulfitri or welcoming 1 Syawal.

Tengku Fikri Wirlandi Kombi on Wednesday, March 25, one of the residents who witnessed the race said this activity became one of the entertainment of the residents of Subulussalam.

According to him, this competition helps micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). Fikri hopes that the local government will fully support this activity.

Chairman of the Robin Racing Committee, Muhammad Ikhwan Sambo, said that this Robin Race was supported by the ranks of the Rundeng District Leadership Meeting (Muspika).
