"Ruang Rindu" song from Letto interpreted by Rakhano

JAKARTA - Faqih Rakhanoto or better known as Rakhano, officially released a remake version of Letto's hit song titled Ruang Rindu.

This step was taken after the song fragment received an overwhelming response and went viral on the social media platform TikTok.

Rakhano's decision to re-record a song that had become an emotional anthem for Indonesian music lovers was not without reason. Starting from a simple upload on social media, the high attachment of netizens became the main driving force.

"The results of my 'Ruang Rindu' cover on TikTok are really beyond expectations. The engagement is really big and many have commented to ask for this song to be released in full on all platforms," said Rakhano in his statement, Wednesday, March 25.

In the production process, Rakhano chose to maintain the basic structure of the song created by Noe Letto. However, he gave a new touch by adding some notes without changing the original tone or lyrics.

For the 23-year-old singer, the biggest challenge was how to give the same emotion as the original version into his own voice character.

"Getting that same feeling was very challenging, but I've tried to give my best version in this song," he said.

Furthermore, for Rakhano, this release is also an effort to reintroduce Indonesian legendary works to younger generations who may start to feel unfamiliar with the song. He hopes that listeners can feel the nostalgia sensation again through his new interpretation.

"I want people to be able to feel nostalgia again. Nostalgia is not necessarily about someone, it can also be about places, moments, even small things that have meaning," concluded Rakhano.
