Bocimi Section 3 Functional Toll Opened until March 29, 2026, Note the Schedule
JAKARTA - The functional lane of the Bogor-Ciawi-Sukabumi Toll Road (Bocimi) Section 3 will reopen today, Wednesday, March 25, 2026.
The toll road was opened for free to disperse the density of community mobility to the tourist area in Sukabumi, as well as supporting the smooth flow of traffic during the 2026 Eid homecoming.
Since the first day of operation on Saturday, March 14, 2026 to March 22, 2026, the functional line has been passed by around 19,000 vehicles dominated by the return flow to Sukabumi and its surroundings.
Citing the official Instagram account of the Toll Road Regulatory Agency of the Ministry of PU @pupr_bpjt, Wednesday, March 25, the functional lane was opened in two sessions. The first session starts at 07.00 WIB until 11.00 WIB is open from Bogor-Karangtengah. Meanwhile, session two is open from 13.00 WIB until 17.00 WIB from Karangtengah-Bogor.
"At the discretion of the police, the functional toll road from Karangtengah to Bogor is planned to be opened today around 13.00-14.00 WIB, 07.00-17.00 (situational), and will operate until March 29, 2026," wrote the account.
BPJT appeals to road users to continue to prioritize safety, comply with traffic signs and follow the instructions of officers in the field.
"The functional toll road Bocimi Section 3 is opened to help your trip to be smoother and more comfortable," he added.
Previously, the Minister of Transportation (Menhub) Dudy Purwagandhi predicted that the peak of the Lebaran 2026 land transport return flow would occur in two waves, namely on March 24-25 and increase again on March 28-29, 2026.
Dudy explained that the first spike occurred because commuters were chasing the time to go to work after the Lebaran holiday. Meanwhile, the next wave was triggered by people who took advantage of the work from anywhere (WFA) policy.
According to him, the government has prepared various strategies to anticipate congestion, including the implementation of traffic engineering such as one way nationwide.
He emphasized that the one-way policy would be implemented on a situational basis if there was a significant increase in density on the main route, in order to ensure that people's travel remained smooth and safe.
