Pramono Targets Ramadan-Lebaran Transactions in Jakarta to Reach Rp25 Trillion

JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung targets the value of economic transactions during the Ramadan period to Lebaran 2026 holidays to penetrate Rp. 25 trillion. This target is driven by the "Mudik to Jakarta" program which presents various tourist promos to shopping discounts.

The "Mudik to Jakarta" program is designed to attract tourist movement and shopping to the capital during the Lebaran holiday momentum. The DKI Provincial Government is partnering with various parties, ranging from airlines, transportation operators, to tourism and retail industry players.

DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung said the program has received a positive response from the public since it was first held.

"In that regard, the 'Mudik to Jakarta' program will last until March 31 by involving various collaborators such as Citilink, KAI, hotels, tourist destinations, shopping centers, and various promos," said Pramono at the DKI Jakarta City Hall, Wednesday, March 25.

So far, the transaction achievement recorded has approached the target set. Even before Lebaran, the value had penetrated the tens of trillion rupiah figure. Pramono targets that post-Lebaran transactions can reach Rp. 25 trillion.

"Until before Lebaran yesterday, the transaction record was 21 trillion rupiah, and we hope that by March 31, it will be above 25 trillion rupiah, hopefully," explained Pramono.

Not only impacting Jakarta, this program is also followed by a number of other areas that also take advantage of the momentum of community movement during the Lebaran holiday.

"The program to return to Jakarta was also followed by various provinces, including from Semarang with a transaction of Rp8 billion, then Surabaya Rp6.2 billion, and so on. Many provinces have finally taken advantage of it," he said.

It is known that the "Mudik to Jakarta" program was held to take advantage of the relatively quiet condition of Jakarta during the Lebaran homecoming period as well as to encourage economic activity in the capital. The program is expected to attract people to go on vacation and shop in Jakarta when many residents of the capital return home.

In the program Mudik to Jakarta, a number of shopping centers also provide large discounts to attract visitors. The discounts provided are even said to be up to 80 percent.

The discount program runs during the Ramadan period, starting from March 4 to March 31. In addition to discounts of up to 80 percent, a number of shopping centers also held various Ramadan sale programs.
