Playground to Photobox is the Favorite of Passengers at Pasar Senen Station

JAKARTA - For passengers waiting for departure schedules, Pasar Senen Station now offers a number of favorite spots that make waiting time feel more comfortable and enjoyable.

Starting from the colorful children's play area to the aesthetic photobox corner, these various facilities are often used by passengers to relax, entertain families, and capture moments before the journey begins.

Pasar Senen Station is one of the main departure points for people, both those who want to go home to their hometowns and those who return to Jakarta after celebrating Lebaran.

In the midst of high passenger mobility during the homecoming and return season, PT Kereta Api Indonesia presents various supporting facilities to increase the comfort of service users.

One of the facilities that caught attention was a mini playground for children. This area is specifically designed so that children do not feel bored while waiting for departure. It is located in a corner near the departure gate of the intercity train.

Based on monitoring at the location, the play area is kept clean and has a spacious enough space to accommodate several children at once. Various games are available, such as brightly colored houses, rubber horses, to plastic mini motorcycles. In addition, there are also large storage lockers for luggage.

This facility is used by one of the passengers, Nia (38), who accompanied her child to play while waiting for the train to Solo. He admitted that this play area was quite helpful in driving away the child's boredom while at the station.

"This is just. The last time I went to Bandung there was none. If you are a mother, this is pretty good, because there are many children who wait so that they are not bored," said Nia.

Not only for children, young passengers can also enjoy the photobox facilities available in the station area. This spot is quite popular because it allows users to take photos with a background of decorations resembling the interior of the train car.

Hanafi (23), one of the photobox users, admitted that the facility provided a new experience and memories before traveling.

"This photo box is not just any place, it depends on where it is located. Especially for young people, you can capture the moment there," he said.

In addition, other facilities are also available such as a table with a plug to charge electronic devices, as well as a massage chair that passengers can use in the departure area.

During the Lebaran homecoming period, PT KAI also improved service quality by adding cleaning staff at stations and trains, security support from the TNI and Polri, provision of parking attendants, to presenting special activities and merchandise for children.

In addition to serving passengers returning to Jakarta, this station also remains the departure point for people who have just started traveling to various areas on the island of Java.

Several passengers choose travel schedules after Lebaran for various reasons, such as avoiding traffic jams during the holiday, adjusting to the new normal, and so on.
