Response to WFA Policy, Central Java Governor Urges People Not to Rush Back
JAKARTA - Central Java Governor Ahmad Luthfi appealed to travelers not to rush back in line with the WFA (work from anywhere) policy so that the traffic flow back to Lebaran 2026 is not concentrated at one time.
"We hope that people will not be in a hurry and can take advantage of the travel time that is still available," he said when accompanying the National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo to open a one-way or one-way return flow for Lebaran 2026 at the Kalikangkung Toll Gate (GT), Semarang, Central Java, Tuesday.
He said the number of vehicles entering Central Java during the 2026 Lebaran homecoming reached 1,795,522 units, while the outgoing ones were 1,099,049 units.
During the reverse flow, he said, only about 153,136 vehicles had returned.
"This means that there are still those who have not returned," said the former Central Java Police Chief.
Therefore, I appeal to travelers to take advantage of the WFA policy which applies on March 25, 26, and 27, 2026.
