BANDUNG - PT KAI Regional Operation (Daop) 2 Bandung reminded the dimensions of luggage that can be brought and taken to the train cabin, along with the start of the return flow in the 2026 Lebaran moment.
KAI Bandung Daop 2 Public Relations Manager Kuswardojo said that the provisions for baggage were reminded so that in the 2026 Eid al-Fitr, a safe and comfortable journey could be created for all passengers.
"We remind you that the baggage allowed into the train cabin is a maximum of 70 cm x 48 cm x 30 cm (100 dm³), with a maximum weight of 20 kilograms, and a maximum of 4 bags per passenger," said Kuswardojo as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, March 23.
Regarding the return flow, Kuswardojo revealed that as of Monday, the graph of passenger arrivals began to show an increasing trend that marked the start of the return flow.
Where, the total arrival on Monday was 24,305 passengers arriving in the Daop 2 area, with the most recorded at Bandung Station 7,588 passengers and Kiaracondong as many as 4,514 passengers.
Meanwhile, the total number of passengers who departed on Monday was 24,253 passengers, with the most from Bandung Station 6,725 passengers, and 4,348 from Kiaracondong Station.
The seat occupancy rate (occupancy) until Monday this reached 97 percent of the total capacity provided during the 1447 Hijriah Eid Transportation period.
Or, as many as 335,658 tickets have been sold out of a total of 345,840 seats available for the departure period from March 11 to April 1, 2026.
In order to anticipate the remaining Lebaran transportation period which is still ongoing, Kuswardojo said that the Bandung Daop 2 ensured that all aspects of facilities and infrastructure were in excellent condition through regular inspections on the rail and bridge lines.
In addition, KAI also ensures that all operational facilities for train travel and customer service facilities at stations are in optimal condition to serve all railway service users with the addition of personnel including on train journeys for maximum service as well as assisting passengers during the 2026 Eid homecoming and return.
In terms of safety and security, he said his party continued to increase supervision and coordination with various related parties. All officers are prepared 24 hours a day to ensure that train travel runs safely and smoothly, and provide a sense of calm for customers.
Kuswardojo added that his party also always appeals to the public who will travel by train to arrive early at the station, comply with the applicable rules, and take care of their belongings during the journey.
