Minister of Transportation asks logistics transportation entrepreneurs to comply with operational restrictions
JAKARTA - Minister of Transportation (Menhub) Dudy Purwagandhi asked logistics transportation entrepreneurs to comply with the Joint Decree (SKB) on operational restrictions for the smooth and comfortable flow of the 1447 Hijriah Eid.
"The peak of the Lebaran reverse flow is predicted to occur in several waves, namely March 24, 25 and 27, 2026," said the Minister of Transportation, quoted by ANTARA, Monday, March 23.
He reminded logistics transportation entrepreneurs to comply with the SKB Regulation on Traffic and Crossing during the 2026 Lebaran transportation, which was set by the Ministry of Transportation, the National Police of the Republic of Indonesia, and the Ministry of Public Works.
In the SKB, the operation of goods transport vehicles with three axles or more is limited to March 13-29, 2026, in order to maintain the smooth flow of homecoming and road user safety.
Therefore, in the face of the predicted Lebaran backflow in several waves, his party calls on logistics transportation entrepreneurs to continue to comply with the provisions on the operational restrictions of freight transportation vehicles.
"This step is important to maintain the smooth flow of traffic and the safety of all road users," he said.
The Minister of Transportation said that compliance with regulations is part of a joint effort to ensure that people's mobility during the return flow is safe, orderly, and smooth. In addition, coordination and discipline of all parties are expected to continue to be maintained until the end of the operational restriction period.
He also appreciated the logistics transportation entrepreneurs who had complied with the provisions on the operational restrictions of freight transportation vehicles and the ranks of the National Police of the Republic of Indonesia who had escorted and supervised the implementation of the policy in the field.
"This good synergy is very important to maintain the smooth flow of traffic and public safety, so that mobility during the return flow can take place safely, orderly, and smoothly," said the Minister of Transportation.
On the other hand, the Minister of Transportation appealed to the public who will make the return trip to plan the departure time well and avoid the time predicted to be the peak of the return flow.
With a more spread out travel arrangement, it is hoped that traffic density can be minimized and people's travel becomes more comfortable and safe.
The Minister of Transportation also invited the public to maintain traffic order, comply with signs and instructions from officers in the field, and prioritize safety during the return journey.
He emphasized that the government together with stakeholders continued to monitor and evaluate the dynamics of the return flow movement at various transport nodes.
"We hope that the public can follow the instructions of officers in the field and make use of the official information provided so that the journey can take place in an orderly and safe manner," said the Minister of Transportation.
