One Way Reverse Flow Begins to be Implemented on the Cipali Toll Road to Jakarta
JAKARTA - One-way traffic engineering towards Jakarta was officially implemented on the Cikopo-Palimanan Toll Road (Cipali) on Monday at 17.08 WIB.
Sustainability Management & Corporate Communications Dept. Head of Astra Tol Cipali, Ardam Rafif Trisilo, said the implementation of one way is part of the implementation of local one way traffic engineering from KM 263 (Pejagan-Pemalang) to KM 70 (Jakarta-Cikampek).
Previously, preparatory steps in the form of sterilization of the Jakarta direction line and rest areas had been carried out since 14.00 WIB.
Reported by ANTARA, the implementation of traffic engineering is situational following the discretion of the National Police.
Based on data for the period from 00.00 WIB to 17.00 WIB on Lebaran H+1, traffic flow to Jakarta crossing the Cipali Toll Road was observed to increase significantly with a smooth condition.
It is recorded that around 38 thousand vehicles have crossed Cikopo to Jakarta, 101 percent higher than the same period yesterday.
Cumulatively in both directions, the total traffic volume on the Cipali Toll Road this afternoon was relatively the same as yesterday, with a lower figure of 2 percent compared to the same period the previous day.
Astra Tol Cipali appeals to all road users to always prioritize safety, maintain a safe distance between vehicles, and must comply with the instructions of officers in the field during the implementation of traffic engineering.
In order to maintain mutual safety, road users are expected not to change lanes and use u-turns when one way takes place.
"We also appeal that they do not stop on the shoulder of the road unless in an emergency," said Ardam.
Road users are advised to rest at the nearest rest area or can use the rest area outside the nearest toll gate if the parking capacity is full, with the guarantee that the toll rate will remain the same (accumulated per kilometer).
