Putri Ariani Releases Religious Song "Love and Prayer" Inspired by Surat Al-Fatihah

JAKARTA - Putri Ariani greeted Indonesian music lovers again by releasing her latest religious single titled "Love and Prayer".

This song comes as a deep contemplation of the purest and most unlimited form of love, namely the Creator's love for His servants who often escape from human awareness.

"Cinta dan Doa" ditulis dari refleksi Putri setelah menyerap berbagai kisah emosional dari orang-orang di sekitarnya.

The phenomenon of heartbreak, deep disappointment, and a sense of loss of direction in life became the spark for Putri to write soothing lyrics.

For him, humans often seek the meaning of love in various distant places, even though the ultimate answer to the search is always accompanied by every breath.

"What inspired Putri to write this song is our awareness that we often forget about the love that is closest to us," Putri said in her statement, Monday, March 23.

"Until now, we may have always been looking for the meaning of love everywhere, but it is not uncommon that the answers we get feel less," he added.

Unlike previous religious works that tend to be universal, "Love and Prayer" presents a more straightforward and religious feel.

The lyrics explicitly mention the name of Allah and describe the vertical relationship between man and God. In particular, Putri took inspiration from the meaning contained in Surat Al-Fatihah, especially regarding the request for guidance to the straight path.

The song production process became a very emotional moment for the 2023 America's Got Talent finalist. Putri admitted that for the first time during the recording, she was unable to hold back tears while in the studio. The strong emotional vibration in the lyrics and melody made him have to stop the recording process for a moment to calm down.

"Honestly, especially for this song, it was the first time Putri cried while recording. Until I had to stop for a while, just continue again. But still crying again. Even when you hear the preview, Putri's tears don't stop," he said.

Through the release of "Love and Prayer", Putri hopes that her work can become a space of tranquility for listeners to return to God through the power of prayer. He emphasized, God's grace is always close to anyone who wants to surrender and believe in His promises.

"God's grace is near, God's promise is certain. Hopefully everyone who listens to this song can feel that love. Believe me, the good we do will come back to us in a way that is more beautiful than we can imagine," he concluded.
