Indonesian racer Veda Ega Pratama is confirmed to appear at the Grand Prix of Indonesia October

JAKARTA - Indonesian young racer, Veda Ega Pratama, managed to make history in the world racing scene by winning the third position (P3) at the Moto3 Grand Prix Brazil.

Veda's success is inseparable from the coaching process that has been carried out in stages since an early age, including intense racing experience at the Pertamina Mandalika International Circuit.

InJourney's President Director, Maya Watono, expressed his appreciation for Veda Ega Pratama's achievements on the international stage.

"We are proud of the achievements of Veda Ega Pratama who managed to make Indonesia famous at the world level. InJourney plays a part of the support system that continues to encourage and support Indonesian racers to be able to compete globally," he said in a written statement, Monday, March 23.

He added that the strengthening of this training track is also supported by an ever-evolving ecosystem at The Mandalika. InJourney together with InJourney Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC) and Mandalika Grand Prix Association (MGPA) presents various training programs and tiered competitions, one of which is through the Mandalika Racing Series which collaborates with Pride Motorsport as a strategic platform to recruit and develop young racers to international level.

"In addition to presenting a world-class racing event, the development of the Mandalika Special Economic Zone (KEK) is also directed as a sportainment destination that integrates sports, entertainment, and tourism in one sustainable ecosystem," explained Maya.

He added that the support was realized through the development and strengthening of the national motorsport ecosystem, including through the presence of the Pertamina Mandalika International Circuit as an international standard circuit that has held various world racing events since 2021, such as MotoGP and World Superbike.

Meanwhile, ITDC's Acting President Director, Ahmad Fajar, said Veda's achievements were tangible evidence of the development of The Mandalika as a sports entertainment ecosystem that not only presents world-class events, but is also able to produce Indonesian motorsport talent that is globally competitive.

"His presence at the Pertamina Grand Prix of Indonesia 2026 will be an important momentum to further strengthen The Mandalika's positioning as a world-class sport tourism destination," he said.

Ega is also confirmed to appear in front of the Indonesian public in the Pertamina Grand Prix of Indonesia which will be held on October 9-11, 2026 at the Pertamina Mandalika International Circuit.

Veda's presence at the Mandalika International Circuit at the event will be an important momentum, not only as a participation at the world level, but also as a place to perform in front of the Indonesian public.

Meanwhile, MGPA President Director, Priandhi Satria said, Veda's podium at the Moto3 GP Brazil is proof of the effectiveness of multi-level coaching at the Mandalika International Circuit.

"We are optimistic that his presence at the 2026 Indonesian MotoGP will inspire and strengthen the revival of national motorsport," he said.

This historic achievement in Brazil is expected to be an inspiration for the younger generation of Indonesians as well as strengthen Indonesia's position as one of the new forces in the global motorsport world.
