JAKARTA - PSSI Chairman Erick Thohir invited all elements of national football to succeed the 2026 FIFA Series event which will be held at the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium (SUGBK), Jakarta, in the next few days.
Indonesia has the opportunity to host the 2026 FIFA Series, which is scheduled to take place from March 27 to 31 with a mini tournament format. This tournament will be attended by four countries, namely the Indonesian National Team, Bulgaria, Saint Kitts and Nevis, and the Solomon Islands.
This trust from FIFA is an important momentum for Indonesia to show its readiness to host international events while strengthening the image of national football in the eyes of the world.
Erick Thohir emphasized the importance of maximizing the status of the host. He hopes that all parties can contribute to the smooth running of the event. "Indonesia is trusted again by FIFA to host international level competitions, the 2026 FIFA Series," said Erick via Instagram account, quoted Monday, March 23.

The Indonesian national team is scheduled to start their campaign by facing Saint Kitts and Nevis on Friday (27/3/2026).
Previously, the opening match will bring together the Solomon Islands against Bulgaria as the start of the series of matches.
The tournament format uses a simple knockout system. The winner of the initial match will advance to the final which will be held on Tuesday (31/3/2026) at 20.00 WIB. Meanwhile, the losing team will compete for third place on the same day at 15.30 WIB.
The FIFA Series 2026 event is an important opportunity for the Indonesian National Team to measure their ability to face opponents from various confederations. In addition, this tournament is also part of the preparation for the crowded international agenda throughout the year.
