Xiaomi Records Flash Sales of SU7 2026, Sold 15,000 Units in 34 Minutes
JAKARTA - Xiaomi officially introduced the 2026 model SU7 update a few days ago, and immediately recorded an extraordinary market response. In just 34 minutes, as many as 15,000 units were sold out.
The latest model comes in three variants, namely Standard, Pro, and Max, with a price tag of 219,900 to 303,900 yuan. As reported by Carnewschina, Monday, March 23, consumers only need to pay a deposit of 5,000 yuan to secure the unit, and are still given the opportunity to change orders until March 22.
For information, the first generation SU7 is the first mass-produced electric car from Xiaomi which debuted in December 2023. The model offers a range of up to 800 km based on the CLTC standard, as well as an acceleration of 0-100 km/h in 2.78 seconds.
In the 2026 refresh version, Xiaomi made a number of significant updates, including a redesigned front grille that now integrates a 4D millimeter wave radar as well as a high-pressure cleaning system for the front and rear cameras.
The exterior is also sweetened with black mirrors, 21-inch two-piece forged rims, and red brake calipers. There are nine color options, with the Max variant getting the exclusive Cabrio Blue option.
Entering the cabin, the premium feel is further felt through the use of Dark Night black trim, three-tier ambient lighting, and Nappa leather upholstery on the steering wheel. The front seats are equipped with 18-way electric adjustment complete with massage and side support functions, while the rear seats now offer a zero-gravity position and a more optimal headrest.
Specifically for the Max variant, there is an additional dual-zone panoramic roof with smart dimming features. In terms of performance, all variants carry V6s Plus motors with an energy transfer efficiency of 94 percent.
The Max variant is capable of accelerating from 0-100 km/h in 3.08 seconds with a top speed of 265 km/h. The range is 720 km for the Standard, 902 km for the Pro, and 835 km for the Max variant based on the CLTC standard.
SiC high-voltage platform technology enables fast charging, where the Max variant can add up to 670 km of range in just 15 minutes or charge from 10 to 80 percent in 12 minutes.
Other supporting features include a refrigerator in the cabin with a temperature range of -6 to 15 degrees Celsius or 35 to 50 degrees Celsius with a capacity of 4.4 liters, as well as a 14 to 25 speaker audio system with Dolby Atmos technology. In addition, ETC features are standard, supported by complete connectivity via 5G, UWB, and Wi-Fi 7.
Not only stopping at SU7, Xiaomi is also continuing to expand its electric vehicle line. On the same day, CarNewsChina reported that the company is preparing the YU7 GT SUV, a high-performance model with up to 990 hp and a CLTC range target of 705 km. Its presence is projected to complement the SU7 line in Xiaomi's future electric vehicle roadmap.
