US Democratic Party Leader Asks Trump to End War Against Iran

JAKARTA - US Democratic Party Chairman Chuck Schumer called for an end to the war against Iran

The US Senate minority leader stressed that the current global instability is the right moment to end the US military operation against Iran.

"Enough. End this war," Schumer wrote in a statement posted on his X account, Monday, March 23.

Schumer revealed that even though Donald Trump's supporters are in the 2024 US presidential election, a number of Republican senators also have the same tone as him.

"Even some Republican Senators openly admit that they don't know what the Administration is trying to achieve in the Middle East," added the US lawmaker from New York.

Lives are on the line.

In an earlier post on X, Schumer also noted that tens of billions of dollars were "wasted" in the US war with Israel against Iran.

The war against Iran, which Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of Israel has been chanting for decades and Trump has been implementing since February 28, 2026, has resulted in the price of a gallon of oil "averaging $3.94".
