Jagorawi Toll KM 12+800 Flooded, Lajur 1-2 Can't Be Passed

JAKARTA - Jasamarga Metropolitan Tollroad (JMT) Regional Division through Representative Office 1 (RO1) as the manager of the Jagorawi Toll Road handled the puddle at KM 12+800 to KM 12+600 of the Jagorawi Toll Road towards Jakarta with a height of 30 cm.

"The puddles were monitored starting at 16.45 WIB. Shortly after, RO1 JMT officers together with Jasamarga Tollroad Maintenance (JMTM) were at the location and took initial handling steps and identified the cause of the puddle," said Senior Manager Representative Office 1 JMT Regional Division Alvin Andituahta Singarimbun in his statement in Jakarta, Saturday.

The results of the observations of officers in the field, the puddle was caused by the volume of water exceeding the capacity of the channel due to the high inflow of water, both from the toll road, and from the surrounding community around the toll road, so that the water in the channel overflows and floods the toll road.

Currently, JMTM officers are cleaning the garbage at the channel location to speed up the flow of water.

On the other hand, Jasamarga Tollroad Operator (JMTO) officers also carried out traffic arrangements at the puddle location. Currently, it is observed that the outer shoulder, lane 1 and lane 2 cannot be crossed for a while, while lane 3 and lane 4 can still be crossed by road users.

In addition, there was also a puddle at the Rest and Service (TIP) or rest area KM 10 of the Jagorawi Toll Road towards Bogor.

As a result of the incident, the clean water pump was damaged and could not be used for a while. At the discretion of the Police, starting at 19.30 WIB, TIP KM 10 Jagorawi Toll Road direction Bogor was temporarily closed until all devices were operating normally.

Jasa Marga apologized for the inconvenience experienced during the handling of the puddle.
