Kakorlantas ensures officers are ready to arrange lanes to anticipate local homecoming congestion tomorrow

JAKARTA - The National Police Traffic Corps (Korlantas) has prepared steps to anticipate the density of local travelers in agglomeration areas.

Head of the National Police Traffic Corps (Kakorlantas) Inspector General Pol. Agus Suryonugroho said the peak of local migrant density was predicted to take place on Sunday (22/3) or H+1 Lebaran 2026.

"Tomorrow, it will be a dense agglomeration. So, local homecoming from Solo to Semarang, Semarang to Solo, from Bogor to Bekasi, we anticipate, tomorrow," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Saturday, March 21.

Kakorlantas said the police had anticipated local travelers in the Solo Raya, Semarang Raya, Malang Raya areas, including Jabodetabek and Bali, one of which was by activating security posts, service posts, and integrated posts.

The officers were reminded by Kakorlantas to be on standby to monitor the traffic situation in these areas.

"We expect all officers to remain on standby to monitor the journey, whether it is local homecoming, including those from Jakarta to Central Java, East Java, while there are visits," he said.

Meanwhile, the National Police and related stakeholders have also prepared for the peak of the Lebaran return flow. It is predicted that this will occur on March 24-25, 2026 and the second wave on March 28-29, 2026.
