Kakorlantas: Lalin During Eid is Controlled Even Though Mobility is High

JAKARTA - The Head of the Traffic Corps (Kakorlantas) of the National Police, Inspector General Agus Suryonugroho, said that traffic on the first day of Lebaran 2026 was under control despite the high mobility.

"The last traffic update, both on the toll road and on the artery, is under control. Eid, indeed, the mobility activity is quite high, especially in Japek (Jakarta-Cikampek) which leads to KM 70," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Saturday, March 21.

According to him, at 11.00 WIB, there was an increase in traffic flow on the Trans Java toll road so that traffic engineering was carried out on the Japek Toll Road.

"We do traffic engineering so that vehicles from Jakarta to Trans Java are more smooth," he said.

The Deputy National Police Chief said the maintenance of public security and order (harkamtibmas) on the Eid celebration day was also under control.

"We have just reported to the National Police Chief, General Pol. Listyo Sigit Prabowo, that the security and public order were quite under control. So, there were no prominent events," he said.

Meanwhile, regarding the security, safety, order, and traffic flow (kamseltibcarlantas), he said that his party had also reported the results of monitoring until the 8th day of Operation Ketupat 2026 or Friday (20/3) to the National Police Chief, General Pol. Listyo Sigit Prabowo.

He said that accidents related to the fatality of the deceased victim decreased by 27 percent compared to the 8th day of Operation Ketupat 2025. Meanwhile, for the accident itself, it also decreased by 3.5 percent compared to the same period last year.

"This is Alhamdulillah, of course, we will maintain it until later on the return flow," he said.
