The delivery of Peacekeepers to Gaza was postponed, President Prabowo: Not to disarm Hamas

Jakarta - President Prabowo Subianto emphasized that the deployment of peacekeepers to Gaza was not to disarm Hamas.

This was conveyed by President Prabowo during the President Prabowo Answering event which took place in Hambalang, Bogor Regency, West Java which aired on Thursday, March 19. However, the delivery of peacekeepers is currently being suspended due to the war situation between Iran and Israel and the United States.

The most important approval regarding the dispatch of Indonesian peacekeepers, continued President Prabowo, was from Palestinian leaders. And second, the approval of all Muslim majority countries in the BoP, namely Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Jordan, Turkey, Pakistan, Qatar, and Egypt.

President Prabowo also emphasized that another main requirement for the deployment of these peacekeepers is the approval of Hamas. Indonesia, according to President Prabowo, emphasized that it did not want to be involved in the acquisition or disarmament of Hamas.
