Want to go to the Palace? Prabowo opens the door for 5,000 residents on Eid al-Fitr

JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto will open the Jakarta State Palace for the general public in celebration of Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah. The activity is packaged in the form of halalbihalal and silaturahmi with residents, Saturday, March 21.

Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya said the activity was planned to take place in the afternoon after the President returned from a series of Idulfitri agendas in Aceh.

"After that, the President will go to Jakarta. Then, if it is in the palace, we will prepare a halalbihalal, silaturahmi, for all members of the community who want to visit," Teddy said in a statement quoted on Saturday, March 21.

He explained that the State Palace would be open to the public starting after the Zuhur prayer until the afternoon, with a scheme of alternating visits to ensure visitor comfort.

The number of residents who attended is estimated to reach around 5,000 people. To anticipate the crowd of visitors, the government has prepared an additional area outside the palace complex.

"Around five thousand, like last year. Of course we are ready inside, later if it doesn't fit, outside tents have also been prepared, then later it will be alternated," he said.

During the activity, the government also prepared various typical Eid al-Fitr dishes and a family-friendly atmosphere for visitors. In addition, special entertainment, especially for children, will be provided.

"There is lunch, there is a social gathering, there is ketupat and so on. The palace is open to the public from noon to afternoon. Like last year, various kinds of food and entertainment will be prepared for children," said Teddy.

This activity is expected to be a momentum of togetherness between the government and the community in the atmosphere of Eid al-Fitr, as well as strengthening the values of kinship and national unity.
