Vice President Salat at the Istiqlal Mosque with Jan Ethes and a number of ministers

JAKARTA - Vice President (Wapres) of the Republic of Indonesia Gibran Rakabuming Raka performed the Eid al-Fitr prayer at the Istiqlal Mosque in Jakarta on the Eid al-Fitr 1 Syawal 1447 Hijriah accompanied by his family.

Vice President Gibran arrived at the Istiqlal Mosque at 06.47 WIB and immediately sat down with his son Jan Ethes, as quoted from Antara, Saturday, March 21.

Along with Vice President Gibran, there were a number of ministers from the Red and White Cabinet who prayed at the Istiqlal Mosque, including Minister of Religion Nasaruddin Umar, Minister of Forestry Raja Juli Antoni, Minister of Culture Fadli Zon, Minister of ATR/BPN Nusron Wahid and Chairman of the MPR RI Ahmad Muzani.

Istqlal Mosque performs Eid al-Fitr prayers with the theme "Victory of Eid al-Fitr sows goodness, achieves blessings".

For this year, President Prabowo Subianto spent the night of takbir in North Sumatra (Sumut), Friday (20/3) night, then performed the Eid al-Fitr prayer in Aceh, Saturday (21/3).

However, the Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya said the Presidential Palace, Jakarta will be opened to the public in the halal bihalal activities on Eid al-Fitr 1447 H, Saturday.

"If at the Palace, in the afternoon, we prepare halal bihalal, silaturahim for all citizens who want to visit," said Teddy in Medan, North Sumatra, Friday (20/3).

Teddy said that the activity was planned to take place in the afternoon and evening with a capacity of around 5,000 people. The public who attended, he said, would be served in turns.
